Book Review Podcast Episode 6

In episode 6, I review The Maze of Bones by Rick Riordan, the first book of the middle grade adventure series, The 39 Clues. Lena reviews the Christian suspense novel Resistance by Jaye L. Knight.

We also discuss the difference in how we both decide what books to read next. We were both suffering from lack of sleep during this episode, so it may have made us a bit punchy.

Book Review Podcast Episode 4

In episode 4, we review the first book in an epic 4-book juvenile adventure saga, On the Edge of the Dark Sea of Darkness by Andrew Peterson.
*Note: Lena has been sick for a week, so we waited as long as we could to record this, to give her a chance to recover. But if she sounds a little quieter than normal or doesn’t speak as much or sounds bored with my ramblings, it’s only because she’s sick (or so I choose to believe).

New Podcast!

My 14-year-old daughter and I were discussing the other day how sometimes we read the same books and don’t necessarily agree about if we like them or not. We have fun talking about books we both liked or didn’t like or one of us liked and the other one didn’t…so we decided to record ourselves having those discussions. And then we made it into a podcast.

In the first episode, we introduce ourselves and our podcast and review our first book together: Book Scavenger by Jennifer Chambliss Bertman
